Free CNA Classes in Miami & South Florida

Miami Dade College offers a free CNA training program through a partnership with the Lennar Foundation. The standard cost is $1,750, but these organizations may cover 100% of the tuition, including books, uniforms, CPR certification, supplies, state exam fees, and liability insurance.

The course runs for 5 weeks and includes 120 total hours—split between 40 hours of online theory during the week and 80 hours of in-person weekend training (40 hours of lab and 40 hours of clinicals). Labs take place Saturdays and Sundays from 9 AM to 5 PM, with clinicals running 7 AM to 3 PM at local healthcare facilities.

To qualify, students must attend a program orientation, meet with an advisor, and complete a Level 2 background check, drug screening, physical exam, and immunizations. The program is approved by the Florida Board of Nursing and includes monthly start dates. Training covers everything from infection control to daily patient care, and graduates are eligible to sit for the state CNA exam.

Baptist Health’s Clinical Partner CNA Prep Program is free for current Baptist Health employees, with a $250 fee for others. That fee covers everything—books, uniform, state exam fee, CPR certification, background check, and course materials. The program runs for 6 weeks and includes evening class options at both the South Campus in Miami and the North Campus in Boynton Beach.

Classes combine weekly lectures with hands-on skills labs. Students also complete a Basic Life Support (BLS) course and get access to on-site CNA exam testing at the South Campus. The program prepares students to challenge the Florida CNA exam and pursue a clinical support role within Baptist Health.

To qualify, applicants must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, pass a background check and drug screening, and meet immunization requirements. No prior healthcare experience is required. Applications are accepted quarterly, with start dates in January, April, July, and October.

This 5-week CNA training program is 100% tuition-free through a scholarship partnership between MorseLife and South Florida Health Care Institute. Students receive full coverage for all training costs—including books, supplies, and state exam fees. A refundable $500 deposit is required and returned after program completion and one month of employment in good standing.

Graduates are guaranteed a CNA job at MorseLife, starting at $15/hour plus shift differentials, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus paid over the first year. A 12-month work commitment is required.
